About Us
As a beacon of hope, we stand united in the pursuit of a deeper connection with God. At Light House, we embody the essence of a caring community, embracing each individual's unique path with love and understanding. Our foundation is rooted in faith, and our mission is to foster spiritual growth, support one another, and extend a helping hand to those in need.
Our Journey
Light House AG Church functions with a vision to serve the people in and around Madurai by, proclaiming the good news of our savior Jesus Christ, offering the experience of true spiritual worship, teaching the right biblical doctrines and welcoming people to share in the loving fellowship of Christ.
Light House Assembly of God was pioneered in the year 1991 by Rev. T.R. John Vincely. He continues to be its pastor till date. LHAG has grown from zero person to nearly 600 since its inception. God has used His Church to start 11 branch churches. Presently LHAG supports 20+ missionaries and ministers outside of Tamilnadu. Several boys and girls have been sent from this church to be full-time servants of God.

The Church and the community of believers stand together today as a living testimony to Matthew 16:18, “I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”, and are serving with a mission to reach out to people who are lost and in need.
Light House Assembly of God church had a very humble beginning and it all started just as every church should, with a vision and calling from God given to an obedient servant of Christ.
Rev. T.R. John Vincely, born and raised in a Catholic family, accepted Jesus Christ personally as his Lord and savior and was baptized by the Holy Spirit, at the age of 17, in the year 1986. While he was still doing his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration he received the call from above to become a full time minister. He pursued his masters in social work while simultaneously working through his Diploma in Theology from AG Tamilnadu Bible College Extension center, Madurai.
His call for full time ministry received its response in October 1991, when he pioneered the campus ministry of Tamil Nadu Assemblies of God, which later christened as ‘Students for Christ’ (SFC) and served as its director until 2008.
Along with a passion for youngsters, he felt God leading him to a place called Anuppanadi with a vision to build a church and spread the light of Christ to the people living there. By divine will and grace in August 1991, he started pioneering this church in Anuppanadi, known as Light House Assembly of God church.
